We depart Weymouth Bay early on the morning of the first day and head 90 degrees due east, hugging the coastline and enjoying an easy paced, relaxed paddle whilst taking in some of the history of the surrounding coastline. Each sea kayaker will be provided a waterproof booklet covering key points of interest of the area along with a map marked with our planned sea kayaking route and stop off points & campsites.

We reach 'Bran Point' where we stop for lunch and a rest before setting off for our first nights camp at 'Bats Hole'. This beach is only accessible with sea kayaks so we're guaranteed to have the whole beach to ourselves. Our camp is set above the high tide mark and there is plenty of time for a snorkel in the clear waters of the bay. We snorkel out to 'the cow', a rock approximately 100m out and then swim around 'bats hole' to 'bats head', so named because of its likeness to the creature. The shallows around this area are a fish hatchery for small mullet and other sea life and the edge of the kelp beds are teeming with vivid seaweed and shoals of small fish - stunning and well worth the swim.

Having spent a comfortable night around the campfire with good conversation and a glass of tipple, we awake to breakfast and a short paddle around to the next beach, the famous 'Durdle Door', a sea kayaking haven. We land our sea kayaks & spend the morning snorkeling, fishing and sun bathing. Early afternoon & we kayak to historic Lulworth Cove a few miles due east. Bonaparte landed here briefly when considering an invasion of the island and proclaimed it to be "impossible!" (lucky for the English). Great seafood restaurants and quaint local history. we cannot afford to miss a snorkel in the shallow waters of "Stair Hole", a truly beautiful little lagoon & cave with crystal clear water.

The third and final day we set off on our return journey and kayak to 'Man o'War Cove' for the morning and an early lunch before a strong paddle to our final nights beach camp at 'Ringstead Bay'. The final leg from 'Ringstead Bay' to 'Weymouth Bay' should only take an hour of relaxed paddling, completed on the morning of the fourth day. a great sea kayaking trip for intermediate paddlers.
